Competition Information

The 2023 13th Climate Change Elementary and Junior High School Painting Competition

I. Guided by the Ministry of Education and the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan, the "National Junior and Senior High School Painting Competition on Climate Change," hosted by our association, has been held for 12 sessions, with a cumulative participation of 59,152 students from 40 countries. This year's competition (the 13th session) echoes the 11th United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), with the theme "Little Homeland Designers." It aims to enhance the awareness of junior and senior high school teachers and students regarding the damage caused by natural disasters to cities, encourage them to consider how to reduce urban waste and air pollution, and emphasize community culture and natural heritage. This painting competition also echoes the 13th SDG, taking climate action and raising public awareness.

II. Registration Period: From February 7, 2023 (Tuesday) to April 24, 2023 (Monday). To encourage participation from teachers and students, awardees will receive certificates of award and appreciation, respectively. The total prize money for this year's competition is up to NT$100,000, and winning works will have the opportunity to be exhibited at "Taipei Metro Art Gallery" and "Eslite Spectrum Zuoying Store." III. If teachers integrate this activity into their environmental education courses, they can apply to open courses on the Environmental Education Lifelong Learning Network of the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan (elearn.epa.gov.tw), and log the actual learning hours of teachers and students after the course to obtain environmental education hours. We kindly encourage you to actively participate.
