Competition Information

Ministry of Education's 3rd National Primary and Secondary School All-out Defense Education Integrated Teaching Excellent Lesson Plan Selection

I. Selection Targets:

1. Current teachers in public and private junior high schools and elementary schools, including co-teaching educational personnel, substitute teachers, part-time teachers, or intern teachers.

2. A maximum of 3 teachers may participate in each lesson plan, and their schools must be in the same county or city.

II. Lesson Plan Format:

1. Lesson Plan Content:

(1) Designed based on the learning domains of junior and senior high schools (domains can be mixed), incorporating content related to the five major themes of national defense education (National Defense, International Situation, Defense Policy, Defense Mobilization, Defense Technology).

(2) The teaching activities designed in the lesson plan should target students in the corresponding learning stages of junior and senior high schools.

(3) It is preferred to integrate national defense-related history or characteristics of the school's location county or city.

2. Lesson Plan Formatting Requirements:

(1) Printed Lesson Plan Materials: Each recommended lesson plan (excluding the application form, authorization consent form, and notice and consent form for the collection of personal information) is limited to 30 pages (printed double-sided, KaiTi font size 12, minimum line spacing, including images, forms, and other relevant materials).

(2) Lesson Plan CD: The full text of the lesson plan (excluding the application form, authorization consent form, and notice and consent form for the collection of personal information) should be saved in a Word or ODF file on the CD for word count calculation. Images within the full text must be saved separately as JPG or PNG files, and audio-visual files should be saved in common formats such as WMV, MPEG, MPG, AVI, or MOV. Please ensure that all files on the CD can be executed normally.

III. Submission Method:

1. Each county and city government shall submit a formal letter to the Ministry for the recommendation process by August 29, 114 (Friday).

2. Each county and city may recommend a maximum of 3 outstanding lesson plans (recommendation is optional). 3. For each recommended lesson plan, the following documents must be attached:

(1) Cover page (to be affixed to the envelope) [Attachment 1]

(2) 1 copy of the application form [Attachment 2]

(3) 5 copies of the lesson plan [Attachment 3]

(4) 1 copy of the affidavit [Attachment 4]

(5) 1 copy of the intellectual property authorization consent form [Attachment 5]

(6) 1 copy of the notice and consent form for the collection of personal information [Attachment 6]

(7) 1 copy of the lesson plan CD

IV. Both the printed materials and the lesson plan CD must be submitted completely. Incomplete submissions will be considered as insufficient documentation and will not be evaluated.
