Origin of International Denim Day: In 1992 in Italy, an 18-year-old girl wearing denim jeans was sexually assaulted. However, the judge ruled that the denim jeans were too tight, and it would have been impossible to remove them without consent, thus acquitting the perpetrator. This sparked widespread protests in various countries. Subsequently, a U.S. grassroots organization established the last Wednesday of April as "International Denim Day." In response to this event, the Modern Women Education Foundation is organizing the 2024 "Stand By You" Denim Day event. Event details are attached. We encourage everyone to participate enthusiastically.
