{{ $t('FEZ002') }} Guidance office|

I. Students attending the workshop are expected to visit Taiwan from September 14, 113 to November 11, 114. They will study Mandarin Chinese on the Tamsui Campus of our university from Monday to Friday and will reside in the student dormitory on the Tamsui Campus during the study period.

II. This program aims to promote cultural exchange between American high school students and local Taiwanese during their study in Taiwan and to cultivate their ability to use Mandarin Chinese in daily life. We are specifically looking for Taiwanese families interested in learning about American culture and willing to open their homes to host high school students during non-class periods, thereby enhancing opportunities for Taiwanese host families and foreign students to learn about different customs and cultures.

III. The selection criteria for host families are as follows:
(I) Hosting period: Weekends, winter break, Chinese New Year holidays, and other national holidays from September 14, 113 to May 11, 114 (Note: The actual dates are subject to adjustment based on the confirmed arrival time in Taiwan by the US side).
(II) Hosting location: Taipei City and New Taipei City area (preferably near Tamsui, Beitou, Guandu, or Shilin).
(III) Hosting requirements: Provide students with a private room or a single bed (bunk beds are also acceptable), meals during the student's stay, and arrange outings with the family.
(IV) Subsidy: Host families will receive a daily subsidy of NT$1,500.

IV. Interested families who wish to provide hosting space should first register at the following website: (https://reurl.cc/GjvWLD). The center will review the family's information, arrange an on-site visit to the hosting location, and then notify the selected and reserve lists.
