Taipei City Motor Vehicles Supervision Office, Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, promotes the registration and management of electric micro-two-wheeled vehicles and insurance.

I. In accordance with the letter of the Taipei City Motor Vehicles Office of the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, No. Bei Shi Jian Che Zi No. 1110230817, dated November 18, 111, and the letter of the Ministry of Education, Tai Jiao She (1) Zi No. 1110115118, dated November 23, 111. II. The Legislative Yuan passed the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act on April 19, 111, and promulgated it on May 4 of the same year, bringing micro electric two-wheeled vehicles (hereinafter referred to as micro electric vehicles) under regulation. Article 69-1, Paragraph 2 of the Act stipulates that micro electric vehicles must pass inspection and type approval, and be registered, licensed, and have license plates affixed before they can be driven on the road; Paragraph 4 of the same Act also stipulates that micro electric vehicles must be insured under the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Act. III. Starting from November 30, 111, micro electric two-wheeled vehicles must be registered and licensed, and insured with compulsory insurance, before they can be driven on the road. Considering that the users of micro electric two-wheeled vehicles are mostly students and the elderly, please assist in publicizing this matter to facilitate policy promotion and protect the rights and interests of road users.
