I. The city's 112 academic year application for underage children to enter elementary school will adopt a two-stage assessment. The important contents of the assessment plan are summarized as follows:
( 1) Target audience: Children registered in Taipei City, with at least one parent or guardian also registered, who are at least 5 years old (born between September 2, 2017, and September 1, 2018), possess gifted characteristics, and have social adaptation skills comparable to first-grade elementary school students.
( 2) Application method: Parents or guardians should bring household registration documents (household registration book or household registration transcript valid within 3 months), application form, and related application documents tothe special education group of the undertaking school in each administrative district (Wenshan District - Muzha Elementary School) to complete the registration.The assessment plan, application form, and checklist will be charged a processing fee of NT$20 (the same below) per set.( Please refer to the attachment for information and schedule)
( 3) Application fee: Preliminary assessment registration fee is NT$800, and the re-assessment registration fee is NT$1,500. Children from low-income or middle-low-income households are exempt from the registration fee upon submission of relevant documents for verification.
( 4) Standards for passing the preliminary and re-assessments:
1. Preliminary assessment: (Both criteria must be met)
( 1) Standardized intelligence test cognitive assessment results must be at least 1.5 standard deviations above the mean or at the 93rd percentile or above.
( 2) The learning ability score on the early admission ability checklist for preschool children must be 22 or above, and the school readiness score must be 38 or above.
2. Re-assessment: Standardized intelligence test cognitive assessment results must be at least 2 standard deviations above the mean or at the 97th percentile or above.
( 5) Registration and enrollment:
1. For those who have passed the early admission assessment, parents or guardians should bring the household registration book, "Early Admission Eligibility Certificate," and admission notice to the assigned school or the school they are attending to complete the registration procedures. Failure to register within the deadline will be considered as forfeiting the early admission eligibility.
( 1) For those who wish to attend public elementary schools in the city, parents or guardians should complete the registration through the online registration system announced by the bureau during the registration period, in accordance with the operating schedule of the "Taipei City Public Elementary School New Student Allocation and Admission Regulations."
( 2) When the enrollment quota of a school is full, priority admission eligibility review should be conducted in the fourth week of April 112, in accordance with the city's admission regulations, and registration should be completed at the specified time and manner.
( 3) For those who wish to attend private elementary schools in the city, registration, public lottery, and enrollment should be carried out in accordance with the operating schedule of the "Taipei City 112 Academic Year Private Elementary and Junior High School and Attached Kindergarten Enrollment Implementation Plan."
2. Those who pass the assessment and are approved for early admission will be treated as age-appropriate children for enrollment. Schools will arrange classes in the same way as age-appropriate children according to the city's age-appropriate child admission regulations, without separate special class arrangements.
