I. This project is carried out in accordance with the "River and Sea Study Tour Project" of the 111th academic year's Outdoor Marine Education Plan, Sub-project 3-3-1.
II. To increase the number of participants in the Marine Resources Center experience, a winter camp will be specially offered during the winter break. Please refer to the following for details:
(I) The name of this camp is the "Zero Waste Recreation Camp." It is planned to hold 2 sessions on February 1st (Wednesday) and February 3rd (Friday), 2023, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
(II) Each session is expected to recruit 24 students from the 6th grade and above in the city. Registration will open on the morning of January 10th, 2023 (Tuesday), and will be conducted by lottery. Successful applicants will be selected by lottery on January 18th, 2023 (Wednesday). Parents are requested to register and sign up on the Marine Education website (https://tpomec.tp.edu.tw/sign_up/?id=1).
(III) In the morning, participants will cycle to the Beitou Incineration Plant, and in the afternoon, they will attend a cetacean course at the Marine Resources Center. If participants cannot pass the test, they will be asked to return home with their parents.
(IV) The afternoon cetacean course will involve contact with cetacean bone specimens. Participants must handle them gently to avoid damage. Any intentional damage caused by participants will result in compensation at the full price.
III. For other details, please refer to the attached activity plan. If you have any questions, please call 2891-2847 ext. 817 or 810 and ask for Teacher Lu from the Marine Education Department.
