Foundation for Environmental Quality Education and Culture "Climate Youth" Newsletter

{{ $t('FEZ002') }} Student Affairs Office|

I. The Environmental Quality Education Foundation was established in 1984 with the mission of promoting environmental education for children and adolescents. It has successively organized various themed in-school environmental education services such as Green Light, Green Forest, Green Water, Climate Adaptation, Forest Adaptation, Children's Rights and Environmental Sustainability, Trees and Cities, and Indigenous Climate Education, reaching over a thousand primary schools across Taiwan and its outlying islands.

II. April 22nd, "Earth Day," and the UN's "International Mother Earth Day" are approaching. The original intention of Earth Day is to find an outlet for humanity and the environment to coexist. At a time when global warming is approaching 1.5 degrees Celsius, climate change is undoubtedly the focus of Earth Day.

III. In an era of increasing threats from climate change, environmental degradation, and inequality, how should we think about environmental issues? Besides going outdoors to connect with nature, we must also look inward to explore the essence of caring for our homeland. Reading is a door to self-dialogue.

IV. Therefore, in July 2021, inheriting the spirit of "Environmental Report Children's Edition," "Climate Youth" was born through the brainstorming of our foundation's colleagues. "Climate Youth" is dedicated to creating new language, inspiring critical thinking in children and adolescents, and cultivating an awareness of harmonious coexistence with nature. It serves as a platform for observing the world and current events, and it is the first youth environmental e-newsletter in Taiwan specifically focused on climate change.

V. "Climate Youth" is completely free and can be downloaded from our foundation's website. To date, nearly 90 specialized articles on climate have been published. We sincerely invite your organization to forward it to age-appropriate children and adolescents and share it widely online, encouraging students to subscribe and teachers to use it, thereby nurturing more "Climate Youth" who aspire to change the world.

VI. The "Climate Youth" e-newsletter is distributed free of charge for public welfare promotion. We kindly request your enthusiastic subscription and utilization:
