"2023 ECO SCHOOL Ecological School Subsidy Program" and "2023 Technology Innovation and Sustainable Education Promotion Program Call for Proposals"

I. In accordance with the letter from Hushan Experimental Elementary School, Rende District, Tainan City, dated June 20, 112, with reference numbers Hushan Xiao Jiao Zi No. 1120667653 and No. 1120663156.

II. The "2023 ECO SCHOOL Subsidy Program" aligns with the SDGs' sustainable development goals. The core spirit of the ECO SCHOOL system is environmental friendliness, encouraging more schools to participate in the ECO SCHOOL system, using technological tools to inventory campus environments, identify problems, and discuss environmental action plans to improve problems, and further obtain ECO SCHOOL certification. For details, please refer to the subsidy program guidelines, application form, or the EPA's ECO CAMPUS website (https://ecocampus.epa.gov.tw/).

(I) Eligibility: Schools willing to participate in ECO SCHOOL certification are welcome to apply.

(II) Subsidy Amount: Bronze Award up to NT$30,000, Silver Award up to NT$60,000, Green Flag up to NT$100,000.

(III) Application and Implementation Period: Applications are open from now until July 15, 2023. Related certification must be completed by January 25, 2024.

III. The "2023 Technology Innovation and Sustainable Education Promotion Program" integrates technology education and environmental education into school curricula, classroom teaching, community actions, and social education. Through concrete action plans, it aims to enhance technological and environmental literacy.

(I) Eligibility: Individual teachers from public elementary schools are welcome to apply.

(II) Subsidy Amount: In principle, each project should not exceed NT$100,000. Application units are encouraged to respect the proposed units' needs.

(III) Program Application: Please complete the application form and project proposal. You may refer to the United Nations' "Global Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs), the Ministry of Education's "Deep Cultivation Plan for Mathematics Learning in Primary and Secondary Schools" (https://dlearning.ncku.edu.tw/), and the Ministry of Education's "NEED for New Generation Environmental Education Development" (https://www.greenschool.moe.edu.tw/gs2/msg/newsitem.aspx? k=35D9D5CDB69985C3194A449A976CCC2C). The proposal content must select one or two core values of the SDGs' main goals and plan and implement them through interdisciplinary core competency curricula.

(IV) Application and Implementation Period: Applications are open from now until July 14, 2023 (Friday), with implementation until December 31, 2023.

IV. Schools and individual teachers interested in applying for the aforementioned programs should send the electronic files of their application forms and project proposals to Principal Lin of Tainan City Hushan Elementary School, the program implementation representative of the Taiwan Eco-School Education Association (sunny600325@gmail.com) before the application deadline. Each person or unit may submit a maximum of one proposal. The list of selected applicants will be notified via email to the contact person for the program application in mid-August.
