Executive Yuan Atomic Energy Council compiles "Japan's discharge of tritium-containing wastewater" popular science Q&A collection

I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education, Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's letter dated June 19, 112, No. Tai Jiao Guo Shu Xue Zi No. 1120081729.

II. In response to the discharge of tritium-containing wastewater from Fukushima, Japan, the Council has established an inter-ministerial platform. Through principles such as monitoring and assessment, and referencing international standards, we are grasping information from the discharge source, strengthening marine and seafood radiation monitoring, and establishing an ocean diffusion assessment model. Additionally, a single portal, the "Radioactive Material Marine Diffusion Ocean Information Platform" (website: https://tworis.aec.gov.tw), has been established to publicly disclose relevant information for inquiry and viewing.

III. The Council has produced the aforementioned explanatory materials, using infographics to explain the scientific knowledge of tritium-containing wastewater and its monitoring, with the aim of enhancing the literacy of teachers and students in schools regarding related issues.
