To enable new residents and their children to leverage their linguistic and multicultural advantages, and to enhance the understanding of the general public towards the cultures of new residents' home countries, the Ministry of Education has been organizing the aforementioned dance competition since 2016. It is hoped that through this dance competition, multicultural integration and exchange will be promoted, and it will become a brand-new artistic and cultural platform.

The competition details are as follows:
(1) Registration Period: From now until September 25, 2023.
(2) Eligibility: New residents holding a Republic of China identification card or legal residence permit. At least one-third of the registered team members must be new residents. For teams of only two people, at least one must be a new resident.
(3) Competition Dates
1. Central Region Preliminary: Saturday, October 28, 2023.
2. Northern Region Preliminary: Saturday, November 4, 2023.
3. Southern Region Preliminary: Sunday, November 26, 2023.
4. All Regions Final: Sunday, December 17, 2023.
(4) Competition Rules
1. Dance Genre: Primarily ethnic dances from the home countries of new residents.
2. Submitted works should be original creations of the participants.
3. Teams are divided into Group A and Group B based on the number of participants. Teams that have won awards in the finals within the past 3 years will enter Group A.
4. In the preliminary rounds, 3 to 5 teams from each group (A and B) in each region will advance to the all-regions finals.
