I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Zi (6) No. 1122704456 dated November 9, 112.
II. For the purpose of simplifying administration, facilitating public convenience, and ensuring consistency in environmental certification management, the Ministry of Environment promulgated amendments to certain articles of the "Regulations for the Certification and Management of Environmental Education Personnel" on August 11, 112. Article 15, Paragraph 2, Item 1 has been amended to delete the original wording "issued by the issuing authority, environmental education institution, or recognized by the issuing authority for organization." Therefore, the extension of hours for environmental education personnel certification no longer requires approval from the Ministry of Education.
III. The current provision of Article 15, Paragraph 2, Item 1 of the Regulations states: "Participate in training in environmental-related fields for a cumulative total of 15 hours or more, which shall include 3 hours or more of environmental education laws and regulations or related policies."
IV. Course providers are requested to determine, within their authority, whether the training falls under environmental-related fields, environmental education laws and regulations, or related policies, and to log the environmental education hours on the Ministry of Environment's "Lifelong Learning Network for Environmental Education."
