I. In accordance with the "2024 Taipei Lantern Festival" National School Lantern Competition Implementation Plan.

II. To strengthen the promotion of traditional arts education, enhance knowledge of lantern creation and appreciation, and continue and recreate the splendor of traditional folk crafts, so as to achieve the learning objectives of public participation and learning through entertainment, the Bureau has organized the "Taipei Lantern Festival" National School Lantern Competition activities every year.

III. The important information of the competition in the aforementioned plan is summarized as follows: (I) Participants: Teachers and students from all levels of schools nationwide and the general public are welcome to participate, and please register according to the group.

(II) Competition categories and groups: 1. Large themed lanterns: Four groups including college/university group, high school/vocational group, junior high school group, and elementary school group.

2. Small themed lanterns: Five groups including college/university group, high school/vocational group, junior high school group, elementary school group, and parent-child group.

(III) Competition themes: 1. Large themed lanterns (must meet at least one of the following design themes): (1) Creative designs based on the zodiac animal of the year with the theme of "light" and "dragon".

(2) It is recommended to combine Taipei's local characteristics (tourism, city, food, culture, etc.) for free creation.

(3) Create with the theme of celebrating the "110th Birthday of Taipei Zoo".

2. Small themed lanterns: The festive creation themes are "Bringing Good Luck Dragon" and "Dragon Year Great Luck".

(IV) Registration period: 1. Large themed lanterns: From Wednesday, November 15, 2023, to Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

2. Small themed lanterns: From Friday, December 1, 2023, to Thursday, December 14, 2023.

(V) Registration method: Registration by mail, and fill out the online registration form on the "Taipei Lantern Festival Competition Special Website" on the homepage of Fuan Junior High School website in this city.

(VI) Submission time: From Thursday, February 15, 2024, to Friday, February 16, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.

(VII) Submission location: "Competition Lantern Area Service Desk" at the Taipei Zhongshan Hall Plaza (detailed location and related exhibition routes will be notified separately).
