I. According to the selection method stipulated in the "2024 National Filial Piety Award Activity Implementation Plan," the selection criteria are divided into five categories based on filial conduct:

(I) Long-term Care Group: Long-term dedicated care for parents or elders, without fear of hardship.

(II) Resource Utilization Group: Utilizing long-term care or other social resources to care for disabled parents or elders, encouraging or actively assisting them in rebuilding, recovering, or maintaining their ability to care for themselves.

(III) Support and Fulfillment Group: Caring for parents or elders, maintaining their physical health, attending to their emotional needs, bringing them joy, and thereby encouraging and assisting them in self-fulfillment.

(IV) Collaborative Effort Group: Family members collectively caring for parents or elders, and being able to unite and strengthen their emotional bonds, leading to a harmonious family.

(V) Honoring Parents and Spreading Filial Piety Group: Promoting the excellent deeds of parents and highlighting their contributions to society; or extending one's own concrete actions of caring for parents or elders to the neighborhood and community, and enthusiastically providing assistance for others to emulate.

II. The maximum number of recommendations from this city for the final review of this year's Filial Piety Award selection is 4 (with a national maximum of 30). If selected as a national Filial Piety Award model for 2024 by the Ministry of the Interior, each person will receive a prize of NT$50,000 (hereinafter the same).

If the recipient is from a low-income or low-middle-income household and approved after deliberation, an additional filial piety grant of NT$30,000 will be awarded. If multiple individuals are recognized as filial piety models, their names will be inscribed on the award plaque, with a principle of cohabiting family members; the prize and grant will be awarded once per category.

III. The deadline for accepting recommendations is March 15, 2024 (based on postmark, late submissions will not be accepted).
