2. Elementary School: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students who are registered residents of Taipei City and enrolled in elementary schools in the 112 academic year.

(3) Registration period and method: From March 25, 2024 (Monday) to March 29, 2024 (Friday), register through the Taipei City Junior and Elementary School Arts Talented Class Assessment Registration System (https://tparttalent.tp.edu.tw).

(4) Assessment criteria

1. Outstanding competition performance: Particularly outstanding performance in international or national competitions in the respective categories organized by government agencies or academic research institutions, winning top three awards in individual categories.

2. Outstanding aptitude test scores: Aptitude test scores at or above two standard deviations above the mean, or at or above the 97th percentile.

3. Outstanding subject-specific test scores: The criteria for outstanding subject-specific test scores will be determined by the Taipei City Junior High School Arts Talented Giftedness Assessment Working Group.

(5) Assessment methods: Conducted through "document review" and "testing".

(6) Placement and counseling content

1. Placement method: Implemented through a "Special Education Program." Students will be placed in regular classes at their original school district. A "Individualized Guidance Plan" will be developed by the school and parents for gifted students, followed by the school submitting an application and implementation plan for the Special Education Program.

2. Counseling content: Primarily provides consultation services. Depending on school resources, it may also offer instructional support services through enrichment courses for a portion of the time.

  • Students who have applied for and been admitted to the joint recruitment assessment for arts talented classes in the same category within this city and have passed the arts talented giftedness assessment must choose either the "Arts Talented Class" or the "Special Education Program" for placement in the same category. They cannot be enrolled in both (i.e., students identified as gifted in Fine Arts who choose to attend the Arts Talented Fine Arts Class cannot apply for the Special Education Program; if they choose the Special Education Program, they cannot attend the Arts Talented Fine Arts Class).
