I. In accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. Tai Jiao Zi (6) Zi Di 1132702313 dated June 11, 113.
II. The Ministry of Education, in order to implement the National Environmental Education Guidelines and the integration of environmental education topics into the curriculum guidelines for the twelve-year basic education, promotes school environmental actions, and practices the goal of net-zero green living, therefore organizes the aforementioned competition.
III. The main points of the aforementioned competition are as follows:
(I) Participants: Elementary school group (students in grades 4-6 of elementary school), junior high school group (students in grades 7-9).
(II) Practical competition format: Using the five major learning themes under environmental education, namely "Environmental Ethics, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Disaster Prevention and Response, and Sustainable Use of Energy and Resources," as the main direction for competition works. The format involves practical actions or the production of works to seek solutions to environmental problems and demonstrate practical application and promotion.
(III) Review method and awards: The Ministry of Education will organize a review panel for evaluation, divided into preliminary and final review stages. Generally, 20 teams from each group (elementary and junior high) will be selected for the final review. The top 3 places in each group (1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place), as well as outstanding selections, honorable mentions, and teacher cultivation awards, will be awarded.
(IV) This year, the Resource Recycling Agency of the Ministry of the Environment will also add the "Resource Recycling Special Award" through sponsorship. Two winners will be selected from each group (elementary and junior high) to encourage the practice of the concept of resource recycling and zero waste.
(V) Event schedule: The preliminary review registration period is from October 14 to November 14, 113, and will be conducted through written review. The final review is expected to be held in March 114, through on-site exhibition.
