{{ $t('FEZ002') }} Office of Student Affairs|

To inform you of the Taipei City Government Department of Education's letter No. 11301373461: To reduce the risk of dengue fever outbreaks, please thoroughly implement dengue fever prevention and control measures.

I. In accordance with the Ministry of Health and Welfare's letter No. 1130200851 dated August 14, 113.

II. According to monitoring data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Ministry of Health and Welfare, as of August 18, 113, there have been a cumulative total of 342 imported dengue fever cases nationwide. Among these, our city has 36 cases, which is the highest in the same period over the past five years. All counties and cities are at risk of an outbreak.

III. We are currently in the dengue fever epidemic season. Furthermore, the weather across the country has been continuously hot and humid recently, with frequent thunderstorms in the afternoon, which easily creates water-holding containers in the environment, favoring the growth of vector mosquitoes. Please continue to implement all dengue fever prevention and control measures, proactively manage the environment, thoroughly eliminate breeding sources inside and outside households, and re-inspect after rainfall.

IV. As summer is a peak travel season, colleagues and the public are also reminded to take mosquito repellent measures when traveling to dengue fever endemic areas. After returning to the country, conduct self-health monitoring for 14 days. If symptoms such as fever, headache, retro-orbital pain, muscle or joint pain, or rash appear, seek medical attention as soon as possible and inform the doctor of your recent travel history.

V. For the latest dengue fever epidemic and health education information, please visit the CDC's global information website (https://www.cdc.gov.tw) under "Infectious Diseases and Epidemic Prevention Topics" / "Introduction to Infectious Diseases" / "Dengue Fever," or the Taipei City Government Department of Health website (https://health.gov.taipei) under "Thematic Areas" / "Infectious Disease Prevention" / "Dengue Fever Area" for reference and use.
