"Youth Happiness Without Addiction: Psychological Camp and Digital Detox Parent-Child Workshop" 2024 Achievement Presentation and Counseling Seminar

I. The Central Asia United University Network Addiction Prevention and Treatment Center, with the support of the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration, is organizing the "Youth Happiness Without Internet Addiction: A Three-Day, Two-Night No-Internet Residential Parent-Child Camp, Effectiveness Evaluation, and Promotion Project." They plan to hold the 2024 Achievement Presentation and Guidance Workshop (simultaneous physical and online participation).

II. Activity Objectives: Through sharing the project's philosophy, strategies, and achievements, participants will gain an understanding of effective counseling strategies and techniques for adolescent internet addiction. It also aims to enhance adolescents' motivation for healthy internet use and digital self-control, encourage parents in effective digital parenting and parent-child communication skills, and promote positive discipline in parenting education. The event calls for societal attention to the importance of the internet addiction issue and aims to disseminate the curriculum outcomes.

III. Detailed Activity Information:
(I) Date and Location:
1. Date: Friday, October 18, 2024, from 08:50 to 12:20.
2. Physical Participation: Harvard Lecture Hall A116, Asia University (limited to 60 participants) (No. 500, Liufeng Road, Wufeng District, Taichung City).
3. Online Participation: MS Teams video conference (limited to 400 participants) (After registration, pre-event notification will be provided).

(II) Target Audience:
1. Teachers and student affairs/counseling personnel from public and private senior high schools and vocational high schools.
2. Faculty and students from psychology and counseling departments, and student affairs/counseling personnel from public and private universities and colleges.
3. Teachers, homeroom teachers, counselors, and student affairs/counseling personnel from public and private elementary and junior high schools.
4. Educational administrative personnel from the education bureaus (departments) of municipalities and county governments, and mental health administrative personnel from health bureaus.
5. Licensed professional counselors, clinical psychologists, and social workers from county and city education bureaus' counseling centers.
6. Members of clinical psychologist associations in various counties and cities.
7. Members of the Taichung City Association of Professional Counselors.
8. Parents interested in 3C parenting and parent-child communication skills.

(II) Organizing Units: Central Asia United University Network Addiction Prevention and Treatment Center, Department of Psychology at Asia University, Clinical Psychology Center at the Affiliated Hospital of Asia University.
(III) Co-organizing Units: Taiwan Association of Addiction Prevention and Treatment, Taiwan Association of Clinical Psychologists, Taichung City Association of Clinical Psychologists, Taichung City Association of Professional Counselors, National Alliance of Parent Organizations, National Parent Association.
