I. Eligibility and Categories
1. Teachers (including substitute and temporary teachers) currently employed in public or private elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools, as well as students or interns enrolled in teacher education programs, are eligible to participate in this selection.
2. Participants can register individually or in groups of up to four people. Groups can collaborate across schools and grade levels. However, each person and each group is limited to submitting one entry.
3. Selection Categories: Categories are divided based on the learning stage of the students for whom the lesson plan is implemented: "Elementary School Group," "Junior High School Group," and "Senior High School Group."
II. Lesson Plan Selection Rules
1. The theme of the lesson plan must be related to either "Geological Hazards" (defined as disasters caused by geological processes, whether natural or man-made, such as landslides, mudslides, rockfalls, large-scale collapses, land subsidence, coastal changes, mud volcanoes, or other geological hazards) or "Earthquake Hazards." The lesson plan type is not limited to "thematic curriculum," "integrated curriculum," or "specialty curriculum."
2. There are no restrictions on subjects or fields for each group. The lesson plan should present content for 2 to 4 class periods for one unit or theme. Each class period for elementary school is 40 minutes, and for junior and senior high school, it is 50 minutes.
3. The designed teaching process must utilize at least one digital disaster prevention teaching material developed by this project [as shown in Attachment 3]. Lesson plans that do not use any digital disaster prevention teaching materials developed by this project will be considered ineligible. If the submitted work requires the use of any external plug-ins or web services beyond the digital disaster prevention teaching materials developed by this project, such resources must be freely available or shared software accessible online. "Digital teaching materials" as referred to herein are those produced using multimedia and accessible or downloadable via the internet, allowing educators to use them for teaching activities through computer, tablet, or mobile phone browsers. Examples include e-books, videos, online picture books, interactive games, and other internet-based educational resources.
4. Lesson plans must adhere to the teaching principles of "Problem-Based Learning." They should start with disaster cases or issues related to the school campus, its nearby communities, or local areas. Through problems or disaster scenarios, students' thinking should be stimulated, and they should be guided to explore.
5. Considering a feasible teaching process plan, the lesson plan content should include unit activity design, lesson plan materials (student worksheets, PPT files, charts, images, etc.), and the digital teaching materials used. Lesson plans and related attachments for learning resources should be combined into a single file.
6. Lesson plans should be written using the format and specifications in Attachment 2 of this guideline. They should be in A4 vertical orientation, with the title in size 16 font and the main text in size 12 KaiTi font, with single line spacing. The page count should not exceed 20 pages (including the main text and appendices), and pages must be numbered sequentially. Pages exceeding this limit will not be reviewed.
7. Information that can identify the participant's identity must not be included in the lesson plan.
8. Works must be created in Chinese. Translated works are not accepted.
