Participants in any selection stage must be students in Taiwan's senior secondary education system and meet the eligibility criteria for the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) student selection for the current year,

including regulations on schooling and age. Applicants for the preliminary selection must meet one of the following conditions and provide relevant supporting documents, including:

(1) APCS Programming Practical Level 3.

(2) Have participated in the finals of the Informatics discipline in the previous year's "General Senior Secondary School Mathematics and Information Science Competition".

(3) Preliminary selection registration method and schedule:

(1) Registration method: Registration and application must be completed via E-mail. Students in non-school-based experimental education programs without official school registration must apply through the Bureau of Education.

(2) Registration period: From January 13, 2025 (Monday) to February 9, 2025 (Sunday) until 5:00 PM. Late applications will not be accepted.

(3) Preliminary selection time: March 2, 2025 (Sunday).

1. Check-in time: 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM.

2. Admission time: 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.

3. Computer-based test: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

(4) Seating is limited in each examination venue. Venues will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If the venue registered by the candidate is full, the organizing unit will arrange an alternative venue.
