Inform about the complaint platform for inappropriate online media suicide content

I. The platform is established to assist relevant agencies in implementing mechanisms for protecting against inappropriate online content, and to facilitate public complaints regarding inappropriate online content and obtain responses from relevant agencies, in order to help broadcast media and internet platform operators comply with Article 16 of the Suicide Prevention Act, and to establish a self-regulatory mechanism based on the World Health Organization's "8 Do Nots and 6 Do's" principles for reporting on suicide.

II. The complaint system service platform is scheduled to officially launch on March 14, 2025 (Friday), and will begin accepting complaints regarding inappropriate suicide-related content on online media supervised by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW). The "Complaint Platform for Inappropriate Suicide-Related Content on Online Media" webpage, launched by the MOHW on August 1, 2024, will be deactivated concurrently starting from March 14, 2025. The MOHW will continue to commission the Taipei Computer Association (hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor") to provide services on the aforementioned complaint system service platform. Relevant information is as follows:

1. Service Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (excluding national holidays and weekends).
