Taipei City 114 Academic Year Regional Gifted Education Program Implementation Plan
I. Program Name: CPS Creative Train (Beginner Level: Toy Evolution)
II. Program Objectives:
1. Familiarize and apply creative thinking strategies.
2. Cultivate creativity through solving everyday problems.
3. Cultivate problem-solving skills through solving everyday problems.
4. Foster teamwork among participants.
III. Organizing Units:
1. Organizer: Taipei City Government Department of Education
2. Undertaking Unit: Taipei City Zhongshan District Zhongshan Elementary School
IV. Target Audience:
A total of 30 students currently in grades 3 and 5 from public and private elementary schools in Taipei City.
V. Program Schedule:
July 7-12, 114 (Monday to Saturday), a total of 6 days and 32 class periods (July 8 and July 12 are full-day classes).
VI. Activity Location:
Zhongshan Elementary School, Zhongshan District, Taipei City (1-minute walk from Exit 1 or 4 of MRT Zhongshan Elementary School Station).
VII. Registration Method:
1. Registration
Timeline: Registration opens immediately. For original schools, registration closes at 4:00 PM on April 28, 114. The deadline for the undertaking school to receive applications is 4:00 PM on April 30, 114. Please complete the registration within the deadline.
2. Unified registration through school recommendation.
The registration form (see Attachment 2) and review form (see Attachment 3) should be filled out and bound together. Submit them via the contact box to the Special Education Group of the Counseling Office at Zhongshan Elementary School before the registration deadline.
VIII. Selection Criteria:
1. Admission Standards:
The number of admitted students will be allocated proportionally to each school. The organizing school will form a review committee to evaluate applications based on the registration form (Attachment 2) and review form (Attachment 3). It is recommended that students personally fill out the evaluation content.
2. Admission Announcement: The list of admitted students will be announced on the latest news section of the Zhongshan Elementary School website on May 5, 114. Admitted students will receive an "Admission Notice" by May 9.
IX. Program Expenses:
1. Funding from the Taipei City Government Department of Education for the 114 Academic Year Regional Gifted Education Program.
2. Student Fees: NT$465 per person (including lunch for 2 days).
3. Payment Method:
After confirmation of admission, please complete the payment between May 27, 114, and June 3, 114, via the online campus system (or pay with a payment slip if the online system is unavailable). Late payments will be filled by waitlisted students.
X. Participant Awards:
Full attendance during the program will be awarded a beginner certificate. Participants without a beginner certificate will not be eligible to register for subsequent advanced courses. Excellent performance during the course will be recognized with prizes.
XI. Remarks:
1. This year's program is the beginner level. An advanced program will be held next year. The admission principle for the advanced program will be for students who have obtained a beginner certificate and performed well in the current program. Please seize this opportunity.
2. If the day of the final presentation (July 7 or July 12) coincides with a public holiday announced by administrative authorities (e.g., typhoon day), the event will be postponed by one day (rescheduled to July 13). Parents are requested to keep this date available. If any other activity day is declared a holiday by administrative authorities, refunds will be processed proportionally.
3. For students who have paid and wish to withdraw due to personal reasons, refunds will be processed in accordance with the "Taipei City Elementary School Extracurricular Club Operation Guidelines."
